電解電容放置太久如果不能采用正確的激活方式會直接導致電解電容損壞，電解電容廠家告訴您：年久的電解電容正確的激活方法。大容量電解電容放置半年或者1年以上，在重新使用的使用時候，必須采用激活的辦法，才能使用，否則會導致損壞或者使用命。

　　1、用萬用表電阻擋測量待激活的電解電容，當正向電阻為零或者很小時，說明該電解電容已經擊穿報廢。除此之外的電解電容都可以進行激活處理。

　　When the positive resistance is zero or very small, it means that the electrolytic capacitor has been broken down and scrapped. In addition, all electrolytic capacitors can be activated.

　　2、將電解電容焊接好后，首先加半壓，以450V電解電容為例，可將市電電壓調至130V，此時電解電容兩端的直流電壓是130Vx1.4=180V左右，激活24小時。

　　4、用電容表測量容量的恢復情況，．一般都能恢復60％左右。對于容量一點都沒有恢復的，可以基本判斷該電解電容已經斷路損壞。

　　經過以上激活處理的電解電容，一般都能恢復到標稱容量，并且漏電極小。
